Heralds of the Dread Manifest is a rules-lite one-page TTRPG about the fears that hide within all of us and their terrifying power.

The oldest stories are often the truest. Perhaps not the most accurate, but the ones that speak to the world at its core. The myths from long ago that spoke of gods and men were true in that we are not alone. We are but small specks, reflections of reflections that bear little knowledge of the true nature of our own existence. At our core is fear, because it is the truest. We are but the image of fear, and the more we accept that, the closer to them we can become. Fear is the essence of reality.

This game was heavily inspired by The Magnus Archives, a supernatural horror fiction podcast written by Jonathan Sims, directed by Alexander J. Newall, and distributed by Rusty Quill. I highly recommend listening to it.

Compact, well-laid out, and designed for maximum player creative expression.  Simple but effective use of a deck of cards for character/situation construction and action resolution. 5 stars, easily.

Thank you so much! It's great to hear you like it!
